Questions & Answers
Age?
28
Where were you born?
Little town in Zimbabwe called Hwange.
A person who inspires you?
No single person. But, Lee Haney (Family man, Energetic towards life, Multi-millionaire, business man, and for 8X Mr. Olympia), Kobe Bryant (His methodical and calculated approach and attitude towards tackling a goal – big picture thinking), list goes on!
Why is Lifting Africa important to you?
For me, it represents a deep rooted desire to be more than just you need to be – as well do more than what what’s conventionally expected of you. The purpose of Lifting Africa is sn essence of social consciousness and realness – yet at the same time: beauty, power and confidence in one’s self.
What Motivates you?
Making a difference in peoples lives, and the never ending urge for “more”. More growth (physical, mental, financial spiritual), more understanding people – and of who I am, more goals achievement, more “everything”.
Favourite Quote?
- “Vision without action is just a dream, action without vision just passes the time, and vision with action can change the world.”
- “Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% what you do with it”
- “There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
What is your favourite form of exercise?
Weight training – I prefer high volume training to massive weights and low volume.
Favourite meal?
Seafood platter for sure! I’m a sucker for some good calamari.
What is found in your gym bag?
Training essentials and “In case of emergency” items:
– Training: Hand grips; resistance bands; Knee bands; wrist brace; Sugarfree gum; local anaesthetic spray.
– ICE: Asthma pump; Medical aid card.
What do you do on your rest day?
I have quite a few rest days in a week – typically I’ll treat them as “recovery” days. So I’ll do some light stretching; loads of hard foam rolling; and may some light weights on a muscle if a feel it needs it. I’ll then round that off with a slow paced ride on a stationary bike for about 30 mins.
